The project ‘low-down’

Admiral Park is a residential development containing a mixture of 2, 3, 4, and 5-bedroom houses and apartments. The project began in May 2021 and is due for completion by 2024.

Dust! A constant challenge

It is no secret that the construction industry faces a constant battle against construction dust pollution, especially on housebuilding sites. UK Health and Safety regulations stipulate contractors must instill processes to protect the health of their staff and the general public, including taking measures to limit dust pollution.

Following one of the hottest summers on record, the conditions on the Admiral Park site were so dry, and dust levels had significantly increased making it difficult to control.

Powerbrush ‘cleans-up’ for Bellway

Bellway Homes had been hiring a Road Sweeper three times a week but during the two days without it, they were struggling to manage dust pollution on-site. It was also costing a small fortune in hire costs, so they needed a solution, and fast!

Bellway opted to purchase a Conquip Powerbrush Forklift Sweeper. Our team were excited – we knew this project would put the dust suppression capabilities to the test! Our product development team visited site in August 2022 to see it in action. It’s fair to say… it ‘cleaned-up’!
