Stretcher Cage

The Conquip Stretcher Cage is a crane lift frame for transporting injured personnel on a stretcher. Designed as a safer method to collect personnel from a building structure or excavation than alternative rescue methods, such as to lifting a stretcher up or down temporary stairways.

Stretcher Cages are a legal requirement on many sites where regular lifting operations take place. Our cage is fully compliant with BS EN 14502-1:2010 and BS 8681-2024 standards, plus LOLER and PUWER regulations.

BENEFITS

  • Designed to fit a Conquip Foldable Stretcher with injured person and one attendant.
  • Raised frame base prevents crushing risk when the cage is landed.
  • Half-height, solid metal sides meet LOLER requirements and offer maximum protection for the injured person, as well as visibility for the crane operator and attendant.
  • ‘Up and over’ door ensures provides maximum space for personnel inside the cage and allows for easy access when loading or unloading.
  • Compliant to all BS EN, EU and LOLER Regulations, supplied with chain slings and fitted with designated internal harness points per occupant, recessed handrails and a square hollow section (SHS) for use as an emergency descent point (EDP) in an evacuation.
  • Optional extra: mounting brackets for storing the stretcher on the side of the cage and off the ground.
