Does Conquip produce reliable pipe lifters and lifting attachments for drainage installations?

We offer two reliable and durable excavator attachments ideal for pipe lifting, each used for slightly different applications. Our Excavator Pipe Laying Hook is ideal for quickly unloading concrete pipe sections from delivery vehicles, transporting them around the site, and placement in shallow trenches. On the other hand, our Excavator Mechanical Pipe Lifter is perfect for carefully gripping pipe sections and safely placing them inside trenches.

Does Conquip provide full engineering data and Safe Working Load markings for lifting excavator attachments?

All our products are supplied with comprehensive technical information, including the Safe Working Load (SWL) or Working Load Limit (WLL), operating instructions, inspection requirements, and maintenance guidance. This information is available within each product’s user guide, helping operators use and maintain equipment safely and in accordance with best practice. All guidance should also be used in line with machine deration charts and lifting guidance from the machine manufacturer.

What excavator tools help speed up backfilling and compaction without compromising safety?

A solution ideal for backfilling would be the Excavator Drag Skip. This heavy-duty, flat-based skip is designed to be dragged across the site by an excavator, allowing material to be transported directly to where it’s needed. By reducing the need for repeated trips between stockpiles and the excavation, it helps improve productivity and reduce material waste.

For compaction, our Excavator Compaction Wheel is an ideal solution for a range of applications and project types, as it compacts the ground by using the excavator’s own weight to achieve effective maximum compaction in trenches, foundations, roads, and embankments. Plus, it is perfect for hard-to-access areas.

By allowing the operator to compact the ground from within the excavator cab, it removes the need for operatives to work on unstable ground. It also reduces the reliance on separate compaction equipment such as trench rollers, compaction plates, or vibratory tandem rollers, helping to reduce equipment hire costs, personnel numbers, logistics and fuel consumption. As a non-vibratory roller, it also reduces ground vibration and improves overall site sustainability.
