Challenge

The scheme is a development of 17 luxury apartments in the built-up, residential village of Hampstead. There are many restrictions impacting project completion, especially at ground engineering stage. These include restrictions on:

  • access
  • delivery time slots
  • very close neighbouring residential property

Solution

We got involved directly with Leander, who were the basement and frame contractor for the project. All the temporary works designs had been carried out by Wentworth House, in conjunction with the main contractor, Blenheim House.

Leander spoke to our team as they wanted a reputable manufacturer to fabricate the steel sections in line with the design and then go on to carry out the installation and loadings of the excavation support sections.

Feedback

"Your team should be highly commended for their work. The quality of the workmanship on the propping was very high and considering the nature of the works, the fact that you’ve managed to carry out the on-site installation works without any incident, however minor, is extremely impressive."

Nick Tandy, Project Manager, Blenheim House
