Safety is the top priority.
(video transcript)

How important is safety within your role?

At every aspect of developing a new product, safety is of concern. Therefore, from the design and drafting to the analysis and verification and the inspection and testing, safety and compliance are looked into actively.

How do you integrate safety considerations into the design process as a product mechanical designer?

For Conquip and for our customers, safety is key. That is why Conquip utilises a robust methodology to develop all products.

This goes from the initial scope of the project to design to analysis and verification and finally inspection and testing. As a team with varied backgrounds, we implement the latest technologies available to us in the construction industry to ensure our operators can rely on our products, putting them first when it comes to safety.

As a team, we rely on our expertise in the heavy industries. As an example, when it comes to our man cages, our inspection process constitutes a selection of tests. This includes roof load, health tests, canopy impact tests, harness tests and so on.

How has your role allowed you to lead best practices on site in terms of safety?

We find ourselves consulted on product compliance and as we offer such a wide range of products, we are able to go above and beyond to ensure that knowledge is shared widely to maximise safety and compliance on all sites.
