The project here is a 56 Story Tower block. Modebest will be constructing that Tower with a range of methodologies.

CPL, our client was to come up with a Propping Solution for the basement because we have a very busy live carriageway, and they wanted to take the ground level down two floors. Conquip were able to design a full propping scheme according to the forces required to hold the camp beam and C can in place. We did liaise a lot with the design team; they were very easy to deal with the information that they gave us was all very helpful. We were able to break the draws down ourselves build very good lift plans, build a solid meta stap and using that information they gave us.

With the installation of the props, we agreed the sequence we wanted install the props and planned out the deliveries to suitors. We actually ended up moving the installation dates quite a few times here no trouble at all with Conquip, they work with us on that.

In terms of building the props, they’re very straightforward to assemble. We were able to fully assemble on the ground and lift them straight into position.

The props are here to provide temporary restraint to the basement, that’ll keep us all safe and stop the whole thing from falling in. We managed to get all eight propping plates cast in bang on tolerance and that was with big thanks to Conquip their coordination of design and drawings. Conquip provided us with a new bit of technology which was all wirelessly linked into their extensometers and we were able to see a live readout of what sort of loads the props are run wondering whether we were inside or out of tolerances. That enabled us to keep track of things, make sure we weren’t overloading them, whilst we’re doing any exterior work, we weren’t causing any undue stress on these props.

All the data that the monitoring system records goes online it’s available for us 24/7. We can download it we can display it in graphs, we can show it to whoever we need. So, all in all it has been great working with Conquip they’re a fun-loving bunch, easy to get on with, great team ethos, above all very professional. They’ve delivered on everything we’ve asked of them really, from design to installation, transport it’s all went very smoothly, and I’d have no problem using them again. I think it went very well.
