Concrete Skips FAQs

What sizes of concrete skips does Conquip offer?

We offer a wide range of Concrete Skips from 500 litres up to 4,000 litres, depending on the model.

Can I hire or purchase concrete skips?

Yes, both, with weekly hire rates or competitive prices to purchase skips outright. Most of our Concrete Skip range is available for hire, with a two-week minimum hire period.

What additional safety features do you provide for concrete skips?

Our Concrete Skips (with or without a bale arm) are available with several safety-enhancing attachments: Extended Flow Gate Handle (to control the pour from a distance), Hose Guide & Insert (to precisely position the hose) and a Bauer Connection (to switch between hose lengths). These help to keep operatives out of the ‘danger zone’, which is underneath a suspended skip during a pour.

Are the safety attachments available to retrofit to existing skips?

Yes, the Extended Flow Gate Handle, Hose Guide & Insert and Bauer Connection can be retrofitted onto existing Conquip Skips, subject to our assessment and specifications.

How should I clean a Conquip Concrete Skip?

To facilitate cleaning, we recommend using the Skip Washing Platform, Concrete Washout System, which safely secures the skip upright during washout, reduces risk of injury when washing, and helps prevent concrete build-up. We also offer a Concrete Blowout Attachment or Autolock Blowout Skip to aid blowout of concrete lines.

What is the difference between Conquip’s ‘With Bale Arm’ and ‘Without Bale Arm’ concrete skip?

Our Concrete Skips are available with or without a bale arm. Many Tier 1 construction sites now prefer or specify concrete skips without bale arms, viewing them as an easy-to-use alternative that avoids the potential safety risks associated with bale arms. We also offer a Concrete Skip With Bale Arm with full, illustrated, step-by-step safe usage instructions in our user guide and a supporting animation.
