'Waste not, Want not' with the Excavator Drag Skip

Reduce wastage and save money on your next project

Every little counts when it comes to minimising material wastage, especially on civils projects where large volumes of shingle, sand and other aggregates are required. Poor weather can result in loose material from stockpiles getting lost, a costly process.

The Excavator Drag Skip helps to reduce wastage and is easily moved around site making it a great solution.

Looks can be deceiving! The Excavator Drag Skip might just look like another metal skip but it receives rave reviews on construction sites, due to its functionality and minimal wastage benefits.

Known as ‘the stone-saver’, ‘bedding box’, or ‘shingle bin’, the flat-based skip, is typically used to shift vast volumes of materials, such as; shingle, dry mix concrete, saved material for back-fill, sand, stone and other bulk aggregates, across site.

Typically, a tipper truck will deliver materials to site and discharge the load onto the ground, which on muddy sites, can easily lead to these materials becoming buried in the mud. Then there is the issue of transporting the materials around site, which in some instances, can lead to dumper trucks getting stuck or damaged…step forward the Excavator Drag Skip!

As the name suggests, the Excavator Drag Skip can be literally dragged to the desired location on site by an excavator, preventing the potential wear to dumper trucks and reducing material wastage. Due to running on tracks rather than tyres, excavators can navigate challenging terrain much easier than a dumper truck, eliminating the possibility of getting stuck.

Another handy benefit of the Excavator Drag Skip is for Trench Shoring projects. By dragging it alongside the trench, it is a quick and efficient way to remove any waste material from the trench as you go, or similarly back-filling the trenches with shingle when laying pipelines.
