Staff Charity Support

Staff Challenges for Cancer Research

The team here at Conquip are all getting involved in raising money for Cancer Research UK, our chosen charity of 2017. Have a look at what some of our staff are undertaking to support this essential charity.

Staff Challenges for Cancer Research

Nikki, Customer Service Associate, and 3 of her friends, Team ‘Blood, Sweat & Beers’, completed the Gauntlet Games obstacle course at Brighton on 29th July. This 5K event is no mean accomplishment, featuring hidden muddy bogs, tightrope walks, joust pits, and of course ‘The Gauntlet’!

Nikki has friends who have been affected by cancer so this means a lot to her and she truly believes in this charity and its cause.  She has so far raised an amazing £1030 for Cancer Research UK!

Karen’s Pretty Muddy Challenge

Karen, our Receptionist, is running the 5K Pretty Muddy obstacle course with her sister at Morden Park on 3rd September. She is hoping to raise at least £200 for Cancer Research UK, but just as importantly, raise awareness of cancer and show people how everyone can make a difference. No matter how little or big, it all helps. Karen has already done a couple of 5K runs for Cancer Research and wanted to try something different this year.

“Any funding towards this cause is crucial in our hope to one day finding a cure.” Karen commented.

Mark’s WallAllOverCancer Challenge

Mark, on our Business Development team, walked 10,000 steps a day throughout June. He is in London most days, walking from site to site, or meeting with clients, so it didn’t prove too hard for him to do the extra mile or 2 each day to get his steps up!
